Hello, and happy St David’s Day! It’s 1st March and so it’s time for a blog post from Artstudiocb. The sight of flower blooms has lifted my spirits in the last week or so, and I’m sure many others feel the same. The pinks, purples, and yellows emerging excites the senses.
I’ve been considering new avenues over the last month. I’m an experimental artist and I like to work with different mediums, yet I feel there is something amiss in the traditional art world. I’ve started to look at blockchain as an alternative, where decentralized networks offer opportunities to do things differently.
I’ve been looking at some of my previous works and exploring them further in digital art. I love traditional art mediums, and I have not given up on my knitting, far from it. However, digital media has the ability to travel further, I can quite literally take a tablet computer out with me and create anything I like whilst on the go. NFTs are intriguing to me, and I can see a kind of digital world that could be created.
My new CafePress store Lost The Plot Designs exhibits some of my new works that I’ll be developing into a visual language to describe experience. Please consider a purchase if you wish to support my art practice.
There is a steep learning curve with blockchain, but I’m ready to learn.
I’m returning to a place of fun and enjoyment. I will be looking to exhibit again shortly, both in online spaces and traditional galleries.
There will be an update in April, so pop back 1st April for more news.
Thank you for reading!
