Imbolc
Hello, it’s February 1st so it’s time for a blog post from ArtStudioCB. February 1st is also the Imbolc Festival. Imbolc is a Gaelic festival marking the beginning of Spring, and is a time for renewal. It is the mid-point between the winter solstice and Spring equinox. It reminds us that nature will be awakening after winter.
I’m choosing the clear out of my home of stagnant energy today, by clearing away clutter, freshening it up, and doing a little gardening. As someone who is attempting to be more in tune with the seasons, cycles of the sun and moon, I’m enjoying the occasion to understand Imbolc more. How will you celebrate?
Writer's Lab & Positivity
I’m excited to write that I will be studying a course called the Under-Represented Voices Writers Lab at the National Film and Television School. It starts the first week of February and runs for one evening a week for 13 weeks. It’s designed to help Under-Represented Voices develop their writing for screen. I’m looking forward to the challenge, and the NFTS run great courses, I have studied with them previously.
I have also been continuing with creating art that’s brighter, expressing positivity. I think this will become a series of works. I’m excited to find out where it will take me.
