Vagary
Hello, happy April! I hope you enjoyed the beginning of Spring and had the chance to celebrate Ostara. I’m happy to write that my ‘Vagary,’ Art Exhibition is coming to the Cynon Valley Museum 4th-26th April!
Exploring female identity, fertility, and transience: a series of paintings, collages, and mixed media will be available to purchase. For a full list of what’s for sale, there is a product catalogue available from Blurb for £5.95 plus postage. For more information visit the Vagary project page.
Works that are not sold will eventually be destroyed, and so this is an opportunity to experience and enjoy this art.
There will be a private view at 1.30pm on Friday 4th April at the museum and all are welcome.

'Emerging: An Artistic Practice Saved My Life.'
I also have news that I have written a short memoir. ‘Emerging: An Artistic Practice Saved My Life,’ explores my relationship with creativity and how integral it has been to surviving difficulties such as trauma and mental ill health.
I’ve attended a creative writing group for four years and just before Christmas I realised there was a story I needed to tell. I wasn’t prepared to simply write about things that had happened, which I had attempted to do before, without resulting in a finished memoir. The story I wanted to tell motivated me to write the memoir as it is, describing how creativity had supported me through some of the darkest periods of my life and ultimately helped me to live again.
The work is about to be edited and soon to be published. So check back for the May 1st blog post for the latest updates.
Creative Communities
There are a lot of online art communities and finding the ones that suit you can take a little bit of time. I recently joined the Threadless art community and created a store. They advocate for different causes including mental health and minorities, and store owners can identify as such. There you will find printed art, accessories, and more featuring my designs.
I also joined the Zazzle art community and created a store featuring my photography. I often take photographs whilst out on walks of subjects that I find interesting, including nature and urban objects.
I’ve found great creative work with both communities. Both stores offer the opportunity for art collectors to own designs by myself.

I hope you have a fantastic April, and thank you for reading!
