An original, mixed media, artwork from the ‘Bound’ Series (Last Item From Series).

Exhibited as part of the Counterfeit exhibition in 2024, this self portrait of artist Candice Black on canvas, features high contrast imagery and detailed stitch work.  

Black and primary blue acrylic is painted on to a white background, stitched over in red and blue thread. 

Working with colour as mood, the artwork evokes a sense of what boundaries mean to the artist and the viewer.
