It’s 1st May and so it’s time for a new blog post from ArtStudioCB! I hope you’ve enjoyed the finer weather and seeing spring emerge.
The Vagary Exhibition at Cynon Valley Museum has now concluded. I enjoyed exhibiting a great deal and found it to be quite an emotional experience this year. Thank you to everyone who visited.
In the coming weeks the Vagary artworks will be listed for sale here on the ArtStudioCB shop. This is an opportunity to own contemporary art exploring female identity and experience. Art that isn’t purchased will eventually be destroyed come October time, as part of my artistic process.
New Memoir Soon To Be Published
I wrote a short memoir in March 2025. It’s currently being edited, and will hopefully be published in May. It describes three periods of my life and how pursuing creativity helped me to survive challenging experiences. It explores mental ill health, addiction, abuse, and trauma.
Writing the memoir was a great experience and something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time. When I realised that I needed to structure the book in a way that would make it enjoyable to write and interesting for the reader, I found it much easier to create.
