Happy New Year! How was 2025, and what do you think 2026 has in store? As I write this blog post on new years day, I feel positive. That is despite the very real problems that are happening in the world. You could say I feel better equipped to deal with them as best I can with a positive mindset.Â
I felt like I might have depression just a few days ago, and this is after a bout of stress. Feeling positive today is a welcome relief.Â
I’m starting to work with specifically positive imagery in my art work, such as sunrises and sunrays. I wish to see how it will develop alongside the knitting that I’ve been doing, where I’ve dyed wool with dye stuffs such as onion skins.Â
The Welsh landscape is a great source of positive imagery. Think beautiful mountains, green valleys, proud trees etc.Â
I’m hoping to have a new exhibition of my artwork in 2026. I have a few projects that I wish to see completed. I’ll be working to sell my art from the Vagary project in the coming months. That is after having a change of heart, where I suggested I would destroy the work but decided against it. With the beginning of a new year, I aim to gather my resources and decide what’s next.Â
I’m hoping that 2026 has great things in store for you. If you enjoyed reading this post please subscribe to the newsletter, and I’ll be back 1st February for a new blog post from ArtStudioCB.
